Why not? Sevilla is a very good option for Lucas. They lose two attacker (Vietto and Jovetic - both comes for loan) also they qualified to the Champions League. Very good conditions to a forward like Lucas.

they could sign Jovetic; they have a buyout option for him.. the crucial point is whether Arsenal wants to sell him this season for a lower price (than they bought), or they want to play regularly on loan to raise his value.. if they decide on the first, then Sevilla could be one of the best placed teams(they play in Europe); if Arsenal chooses to loan then we are going to be at the pole position..

I agree that it's a great option for Lucas to return to Spain and play in the CL with Sevilla. That being said, I could also see him "requesting" or putting in a clause not to play vs Depor during the league although he would get a great ovation at Riazor.

30/May/2017: 13h14: Market news: Deporte Campeón reported that Aston Villa already told to Carles Gil that they don't count with him, the source also reported that the English club and Depor will soon start to negotiate for the winger.

hope we will close the deal

that would be a fabulous signing.. something like a loan with a €4-5 million clause would be nice.. but, it came in DxT which is the least reliable of the sources..

I wouldnt mind Niasse on loan from Everton - quite similar to Andone and much more mobile and quicker than Joselu, cheaper wages also

I like Bony, but his wages will be very high and he has been very inactive over the last 12 months

Having Andone, Niasse, Luis Alberto and Lucas as forward options would be amazing. This is what the club needs to look at to achieve a top 10 finish.
Of course it will not be easy with our financial restrictions.

Just to keep Gil and Guilherme on a permanent basis would cost us around 7-8m euros

i never liked Bony's football at all, in any club. The farther away from us, the better imo

I wouldn't pay a transfer fee for Carles Gil. I would have him if on loan or if Villa lets him leave, otherwise, I am sure we can find some good wingers willing to play in LaLiga.

With continuity and responsibility, Carles Gil will become an important player, he is worth 3m euros all day long imo.

Which other good wingers have we had in the last 6 years apart from Lucas, that would be cheaper than Gil in todays market?
