well this is HUGE in Australia. now u can get a poker game (usually holdem rules no limit) in most clubs at least once a week. i was wondering if any of you guys play? i know leb does and i do so does my family and this week i will enter a tournament again i love it! free buy in winner takes 600 bucks.

I was playing a 10 week tournament mid-last yr during my studies but i wasn't able to attend all game-nights. The final table were given X amount of points and after the 10 week period and the Top 10 progress to the state finals. Unfortunately i missed out by 3 points (mind you if i had attended the other 4 nights i would have qualified because you automatically recive 4 points for playing)

My mate progressed to the finals and placed around 20ish from a field of around 500 from around NSW.

wow awesome! yeh when i was on holidays i played in a 150 people tournament but i went out early. i played a guy who was drunk i had 8, Ace suited, and the flop was 2 8's and a 6. another guy raised - i reraised half the chips we started with and he called. next card was a King i went all in and he called (he was drunk). then the river came out as a 5. he found a shyte straight on the river. and he ended up winning the whole thing! rediculous! i was so annoyed!

I play poker all the time, about 2-3x a week with my friends. I love and hate the game at the same time...I just turned 21 so I can finally gamble legally here, looking foward to go to a casino some time soon to see how it is, and if I'm any good (probably not). All I know in my poker experience for sure is that A-Q is the worst hand to play with, I never hit anything!

I looove holdem i play it online and with my friends. in betsson (ongame) we can start a private tournment like 5 dollar buy in and have fun

that woulda been coool. i bult my BR up from 30 dollar to 500 now soiam satisfied!

A must poker movie that must be seen is rounders! with mat damon in the actor! (sorry a bit bad english)

I don't know what fad is either, but i would much rather prefer putting $20 for a buy in and enjoying a long of poker with your mates plus some booze in contrast to gambling $$$ at the casino and pokies...
