![]() RB.
Deportivo La Coruna are looking to sign Liverpool teenager Antonio Barragan on loan. The Spanish defender linked up with The Reds last summer from Sevilla and made a big impression in the reserves. His sole first-team appearance came in the preliminary rounds of the UEFA Champions League against CSKA Sofia, but he is rated highly by Rafa Benitez. The versatile stopper, who turned 19 earlier this month, may again have a peripheral role to play in Benitez's plans for next season. To that end, reports in Spain claim Deportivo are willing to hand Barragan first-team experience by signing him on a season-long loan. Deportivo are restructuring their squad for next term and are awaiting a response from Liverpool regarding their enquiry. http://home.skysports.com/list.asp?h...e+Reds+starlet |

![]() totally support this move, if we could get him on loan and an option to buy that would be great.
he plays right back or right winger, something like josemi. But he is under 20. Lendoiro get him you screwed up too much during the last few years |

I'm affraid that this is just another rumour created by the papers.

![]() Belgian site Voetbalkrant.com states that Deportivo will probably loan him for only 1 season

![]() What for? What is the point in loaning a player for only a year without buy-out option??? IMO if we want to build a strong team for future we should buy young promising players, not loan them. He will go back to Liverpool after a year. Besides, we have three players on his position as Julen and Hippykid wrote. It makes no sense for me.

I agree, why not loan a left defender. We only have Capdevila. Very strange.

![]() Well, voetbalkrant.com used to be a very reliable site, but nowadays they seem to be a bit "off" sometimes. So I'm not so sure how true it is what they're saying. They also said that they will get an answer from Liverpool in a few days.

![]() i think getting him on loan (with an option to buy) would be a long term investement, pablo aint gonna play forever and he is getting old, dont see hector (old) or scaloni (going out, not good enough in my opionion) as vaild options. But as i said getting him on loan without an option to buy would not make sense

![]() i agree if liverpool signed him being under 18 he must be really good, right.
Just look at Cesc. Nobody hardly knew him when he was taken away from Barcelona heading north to London when he was just 16 and now he's a superstar.

![]() Agree, not much point taking kids on loan where there is no cast iron guarantee that we can sign the player for an agreeable fee when the loan is finished! We have very little to gain by doing it in the short term and its a hindrance in terms of long term planning!
