In the match against milan he was outstanding i think more match practice and we could see the old m.pablo back. For a player who's career was nearly ended i think he has done well. I dont think we need a new right back may be a backup but m.pablo should be the starter.

Default Player topic: Manuel Pablo

This is great news, after the broken leg he suffered in September 2001. Manuel Pablo has been picked for the friendly of Spain on 28 April in Italy.

This is the squad:

Valencia (5): Albelda, Baraja, Cañizares, Marchena, Vicente
Real Madrid (5): Raúl Bravo, Casillas, Helguera, Michel Salgado, Raúl
FC Barcelona (3): Luis García, Puyol, Xavi
Deportivo (2): Manuel Pablo, Valerón
Atlético de Madrid (1): Fernando Torres
Athlétic de Bilbao (1): Etxeberría
Monaco (1): Morientes
Real Sociedad (1): Xabi Alonso

Nice to see that Saez has noticed his achievements lately.

It's weird that Romero isn't selected though. He's been great lately and Spain doesn't have a very good left defender in their squad. Probably either Puyol or Raúl Bravo will be left defender and Romero is better than both of them. Romero was our best player yesterday!

Puyol left, never . And you just can't compare him with Romero because Puyol is world class, one of the best defenders and never has a bad match. For Romero, it's a form thing. But yes, he should be called up because Raul Bravo is someone we'll all laugh at this summer in Euro2004!

Maybe I'm wrong but I think Saez has used Puyol on the left before. And when I said Romero is better than Puyol I meant on the left of course.

I am sorry but I am worry. The game against Italy will be on next Wednesday, only one week before of the game against Porto in Riazor and three days before the game against Madrid is the most important part of the season to us and we cannot have tired people; also, Munua, Pandiani, Naybet and Andrade will have work with their national teams.

Note: After all the call of Sanz is good to M. Pablo, is good to see him back

Pablo is just excellent. He deserves to be back for Spain. He couldn't have found a better moment to recover, as Depor mostly needed him..... and so does Spain, in Portugal.

Great news for Manny P., he deserves it. I hope Luque makes it to the Euros, he should have been in the squad. Raul Bravo is an absolute joke, even Leeds didn't want him I remember at the World Cup Puyol was on the right and he was awesome...much better than Salgado and at least not in the centre like he was at Barca
