Default Ex-Depor coach: Domingos Paciência (born in 1969, coach)

Knowing Lendoiro, there will be complications and the new coach will be revealed a couple of hours before the first game,

but who will it be?

Afaik, we had two names in the pipeline; the Portuguese from Mendes and one recent name from Lendoiro himself (help me with the names please)

or will they come up with a whole new surprising name, as is often the case with us??

and it's official: Domingos Paciência! Mendes took over depor

Lendoiro says the name will be revealed in a couple of hours or tomorrow.

Hopefully its Domingos since we've taken enough sporting players might as well have their coach use them right?

Lendoiro on press conference right now announcing it, for the next 6 months.

Domingos Paciencia won't be tomorrow morning for the training at Abegondo, but few hours later will be presented officially at Riazor as the new coach.

Brilliant. Riazor.org linked to a reportage of the guy concerning the Europa League run.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJlDy...ayer_embeddedl

The defensive record in his first season at Braga was phenomenal, and the external conditions seem quite well set-up for him to at least be motivated: he is recovering following a disappointment in Sporting, he can't do much worse than the predecessor here and he's arguably got quite a bit of quality - a lot of it Portuguese.

Now, the financial circumstances are obviously a lot more important and decisive long-term, but if he manages to keep us up this year, it would be interesting to see whether he might be able to build something sustainable with the club.

Already dreaming ahead, but I find this to be really positive news. Bienvenido, Domingos.

I think Lendoiro said that Franganillo will train tomorrow at Abegondo and Domingos would be presented later at Riazor.

Probably because Oltra will go to Abegondo tomorrow morning to say goodbye to the players and the media press.

There is a million problems with Mendes influence on the club, but this really is a better coach than what I ever tjhought we could get, good credentials, a philosophy that really should match well with his daunting task. I'm surprised at how excited I am.

I still don't understand what's so bad about Mendes. Without him, we'd have nothing. We're not forced to get everyone he offers us. And he did get us some pretty good deals.

Either way, I like the choice, but we'll see how it goes of course. Even if he keeps us up, don't expect him to stay after the summer. As far as I understand, this is just a deal for the rest of the season and after that he'll get prettier offers from other teams anyway. Some people are even saying he already has a deal with FC Porto.

The deal with Domingos sounds very much like a loan deal. Here for 6 months and god knows where he will go after that. As long as he can save us I dont care.
