Gary "The Pitbull" Medel will have cult status in Cardiff shortly.

Liverpool becoming the new Arsenal (of a few years back) with their 1-0 wins.

Soldado scores second penalty in a row for Spurs (who are becoming the new Man Utd in that respect!)

Rest of the games were bloody awful.

Welcome to the super EPL......

Another 1-0 Liverpool victory......but this time it was oh so sweet. Sturridge is on fire and Coutinho is a little magician. I've a sore head this morning, but it's one of the happiest Mondays in a long time!

i saw only the second half and it was one of the most boring games.. most of the play was in midfield and they cannot even complete two consecutive passes for a long time.. Man Utd should feel lucky that they have a player like Valencia..

Valencia's been well below the standard that he set back in the 2011-2012 season. Our midfield has an array on issues. Young is painfully one-dimensional, Nani is struggling for fitness and form, Anderson looks like a write-off, we might as well not count Fletcher, and Cleverley looks a bit lost at a crucial point in his United career. I'm not sure what's going on with Kagawa.

We're quite desperate to sign a player today.

Fellaini could be transfered to ManU - that seems to be the last hope for a decent midfield.

Considering how desperate we are, he could be a decent signing. I liked what little I saw of him in the past. He completely bullied us at OT and was important in helping Everton to deprive us of the three points that we desperately needed. Aside from that, I know next to nothing. He looks to be quite physical. Since Keane left, I've wanted a player who can at least offer a bit of grit to the side.

Looks like Utd is in the market for Herrera, too.

Bilbao are never gonna leave their players easily.. ManUtd will probably will have to buy him out.. besides, the player himself doesn't seem to be searching a new club..
Edit: As I was saying, looks like they have met his buyout clause..

Utd has never been a buyer club, has it, Chris? 31M GBP for an everyday Spanish/Basque midfielder. Spain is not Scotland, but a producer and seller country.

We're certainly buyers. To the extent of Real and its ilk? Certainly not, which is why we're currently panic buying. I believe that we were reluctant to break our transfer record for Fabregas because of the stigma of ridiculous spending, believing that it sets a new, somewhat dangerous precedent for the club in future.

I can't say I know a lot about either player. What I do know is, we've shot ourselves in the foot and left it far too late, so much so that their additions would bring welcome depth.

I think Herrera is a pretty good player.. I don't consider him an everyday midfielder.. and any business with Bilbao is very tough.. IMO, Utd should have tried for Kaka even though I don't know how much his salary is..
