seems we are just getting ex-Sevilla players, in one hand its good that Victor knows them but we don't want a lot of loans please. not sure what to expect from this guy but lets see

When I see that we have signed with a Striker usually I really shudder, after all "great strikers we had" I consider it as a normal reaction.

Can't tell you much about his Liverpool performances because I only saw him briefly on two occasions. He didn't strike me as having a direct attacking style, penetrating to the endline. That's what Riera needs to be really effective in the box - wingers who cut the ball back to him, rather than aimlessly lobbing balls into the box from 30 metres+ out from the goals.
A lot will depend on what Victor can get from him and maybe he'll fit in well.
It's important to have a good working relationship with a big club like Liverpool, so I'm really hoping all parties benefit here, although I have my doubts.

If we've got €5m to spend on a player, it has to be for an out-and-out No. 9 and not another playmaker or winger. That's just too much for us to pay for him. The difference in wages offered by Lazio and Depor would also be an issue, I suppose.
