WOW !!!

Great counter attacking but what a defensive performance.

I can't remember the last time I saw our players fighting and working and throwing themselves in front of everything. Even if we hadn't won this game, that was the first time in ages I can say that the players did me proud. (2nd half at least)

This was an important and refreshing win finally... I think FV thought about the scenarios of the last two games and tried to play it safe in the first half and somehow we were lucky not to concede early this time.
The entrance of Mollejo And Vallejo changed the game a lot in the second half...and Agbo was amazing today!

It was a much different game in terms of effort and I think Alex B has a big part in that. He may not be the most talented but he organized the defense and showed incredible passion that rubbed off on the team. Agbo to me was the best player on the field today in the most important position in modern football and the speed of Mollejo and Hugo on counter attacks made a big difference. That being said, we were lucky to get 3 points but it's huge for the players to come in next game with not as much pressure against a Ponferadina team that has been outperforming their expectations all season long.

The biggest difference is our players don’t give up easily since FV returned. I’m very happy for this result. I could just sleep for 3 hours but it was worthy to stay awake. Let’s go for 2 wins in a row.

I agree. His tactics leave a lot to be desired but he can energize a team and most importantly energize a club's fans. You can see the love he has for the game and for football in Galicia and if there are fans next season at Riazor and he has a say in signings (unlike last time which is why he was fired for speaking out about that), I think we'll be battling for a playoff spot as long as we can save ourselves this year.
